Green Acres Equestrian Center

About Us

Green Acres is literally 62 acres of green pastures year round. The barn has 39 stalls that measure 12' x 12'. Each stall has new rubber mats.

We recently expanded the barn adding several stalls with Dutch style doors that open up to a 12'x16' run. Another feature of the new expansion is a second wash bay and a third Tack room.

The indoor arena is composed of dirt and sand, it is well lit and measures 80' x 200' and has a grand stand. The oversized outdoor arena is composed of sand and has a grand stand as well.

Other features include two hot water wash bay, a new sound system to play your favorite music while you ride, complete with adapters for phones, Ipods, CD's or just tune in your favorite station.

The "Saloon" is finished.  microwave, frig, coffee maker and even WIFI !

Another feature Green Acres offers is the 24 hr. on site caretakers. Teri and Dan and the owner Gary & Pat live on property.  We constantly checking to make sure your horses are safe... even in the wee hours of the morning, if something sounds wrong, we check it out.

Direct access to forested mountain trails truly sets us apart from other boarding facilities here on the central Oregon Coast. We offer a variety of recreational services in the summer time like trail rides, romantic picnics in the mountains, beach rides, camping and even mushroom hunting trips in the fall.

Our horses hate to be kept in thier stalls all day and unless the weather is real bad they go out to pasture, on the worst days we keep them in the barn, but on satisfactory days they go out long enough to clean the barn before we bring them back in. On days we are forced to keep them in we rotate them in the indoor arena by pasture so they can get some exercise while their stalls are cleaned. It's a very simple but effective aspect to the personal care your horse can expect here at Green Acres.

So what does personal care mean to us... We won't put a horse out that doesn't have a blanket if it needs one, if your horse needs a grain bag filled we will see that it get filled, we are always here on site to make sure our horses are safe and happy.

We are working with the Equine Outreach Program in Bend Or. and the Lighthouse Farm Rescue to help place horses that need homes. We can offer partial leases to make "ownership" more affordable and even combine the rate with a weekly lesson schedule to make it more interesting. Ultimately we simply want to help make the lives of our big four legged friends better and maybe you can help.

We have an ongoing partnership with the Pacific Equestrian Club and host many of the shows, so if you board here you won't need to travel to all the shows... but if you do we have several stalls available for overnights and we made it more affordable than in the past.
